Here I am, writing for the second time this week! Hopefully this is a new normal…
Currently I’m binging on The Gulf on Netflix. It’s a police procedural drama, set on Waiheke Island, just off the coast of Auckland, so it’s a bit of home. There are too many little clues to have it going while working, but it’s good for breaks.

I ended up putting Fairy Tales away for a few days. Those yellow roses are annoying me, altho I have the pink conversion worked out. Instead I’ve finally gotten Winter Bear, a Nora Corbett release from earlier this year, and started him on an eighth of Evening Shadows lugana from Countrystitch. The tonal change of white, off white, lightest grey is very smooth.

It’s stitching up quite quickly.
That is lovely. In a tight weave like that do you stitch over two? What size needle do you use. The cop shows looks good and I will see if it is carried here.
I have used Catherine’s fabric to do over one, my Coffee Quaker piece (that is resting!). This one is over two. I’m using a 28 needle I think… I’d have to check the packet. They have two eyes, helps lay the thread better especially when working blends like on a Teresa Wentzler. Or I’ll use the needle that comes with the Mill Hill packs until it goes yuck or I break the eye.
I have never tried a two eye needle. When I go back to it I will check them out.
