A lot of what I am reading lately comes up with a description about a character having dishwater blonde hair. So I got annoyed enough to google the description.
All I can say is EWUUU and seriously, change your dishwater. It ain’t cleaning nothing if it’s this colour.
Current culprit: Just One Thing by Holly Jacobs. It was a Samsung/Kindle freebie this month. I don’t know yet if I’ll finish it.
Main read: Master of Shadows by Neil Oliver. I’m only in chapter two so we’ll see how that goes.
I’ve seen that turn up in odd places lately, too; to me it rings like an old-fashioned term. The despairing English major in me says its because writers no longer have faith that readers can discern between “dirty blond hair” and “dirty, blond hair.” About which they’re probably largely right. *sigh* 🙂
You’ll be pleased to know that B is PASSING ENGLISH! I’m so freaking happy.
